Eurocopter AS350B2, Kingfisher, Okla., July 22, 2010–While en route to a patient pickup, the AStar crashed near Kingfisher, Okla., killing the pilot and one of two flight nurses on board, while seriously injuring the other. The helicopter was destroyed. The Part 91 positioning flight was operating in VMC on a VFR flight plan at the time of the accident. A witness saw the helicopter in a nose-high attitude and rotating as it descended below the treeline. The helicopter was owned and operated by Wichita-based EagleMed.
