Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) has awarded Elliott Aviation an STC for the installation of Rockwell Collins’s traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS 4000) in Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 series aircraft. Elliott Aviation previously earned certification for the installation from the FAA. “Brazil has one of the largest King Air 200/300 fleets,” Mark Wilken, director of avionics sales, told AIN. “We view Brazil as an outstanding growth market for our complete range of avionics upgrades and other services. We look forward to helping South American King Air owners fly safer and to make the most of their aircraft investments.” Wilken said the installation costs approximately $200,000, would be done at Elliott’s Moline, Ill. facility and requires about two weeks to complete. Elliott Aviation has facilities in Des Moines, Iowa; Minneapolis; and Omaha, Neb.
