Jet Aviation is scheduled to move into a new FBO facility in Jeddah by the end of the month. The facility is located on King Abdulaziz International Airport and will offer FBO and line maintenance services. A Jet Aviation spokesman told AIN the MRO portion of the business is a Saudi Arabia GACA-approved repair station and provides line maintenance services to all aircraft, including N-registered. “We are also a Gulfstream warranty repair station,” he said. “This new facility gives our line and maintenance services a greater presence in the region.” The 32,000-sq-ft facility also handles arrivals and departures and provides luggage handling functions and around-the-clock border police and customs clearance to provide what Jet Aviation says are faster turn times, better security and enhanced privacy. Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia operates two FBOs in the region. The original Jeddah facility opened in 1979 and the Riyadh facility in 1983. Both facilities offer FBO services, line maintenance and AOG services to private, business and military operators, and both locations hold Saudi Arabian PCA licenses.
