Bombardier extends Middle East and Asia-Pacific service network

Bombardier has designated two new AOG and line maintenance facilities (LMF) in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region. Arab Wings of Amman, Jordan, is now an AOG LMF for the Challenger 604 and 605. Arab Wings began operations in 1975 and offers charter, aircraft management, handling, dispatch and maintenance service. It is located on Jordan’s Amman Civil Airport. The 10,763-sq-ft facility employs 21 full-time maintenance technicians and the company has recently announced it plans to more than double the size of its existing space with the construction of a new facility. AvWest of Western Australia was appointed an AOG LMF for the Challenger 604 and 605 and Global Express. The five- year-old company offers maintenance from its base at Perth International Airport. AvWest operates out of an 18,300-sq-ft facility and employs five full-time maintenance technicians. They are the latest additions to Bombardier’s network, which has grown by eight new authorized service facilities (ASFs) and AOG LMFs in the past year. Bombardier also opened its first wholly owned service center outside North America at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands last year.
