Turn a G1000 Into a Datalogging System

AvConnect has introduced a new service that downloads the data–more than 70 data points per second–stored by Garmin G1000 avionics systems. The data can be viewed by the aircraft owner or operator or shared with mechanics and maintenance providers or aircraft and component manufacturers. AvConnect uses the gathered data to populate its primary products, including pilot logbooks, aircraft maintenance tracking systems and aircraft tax records. If the pilot or owner is concerned about a particular operating parameter that might be out of normal ranges, the data can be sent to a mechanic or service center for analysis and early detection and prevention of problems. The data is also useful for trend analysis.
