AOPA member Kevin Mossey of Marion, Iowa, started an online petition on September 23 to get the Obama Administration to take aviation user fees off the table. The petition is available at the White House’s “We The People” webpage, which allows U.S. citizens to create and sign petitions. White House staff review petitions that generate 5,000 signatures within 30 days and send them to the appropriate policy experts before issuing an official response. At press time, the petition had nearly 2,900 signatures.
