Toronto-based Field Aviation has delivered two Bombardier Q400s in a corporate shuttle reconfiguration to Avitrade Belgium, which will operate them on behalf of the end users.
The mixed-class interiors are configured with 28 and 40 seats, respectively, with a combination of executive and standard economy seat pairs. One of the two Q400s also has four individual, fully berthable executive seats in a club configuration.
The executive seats include individual, touchscreen LCD monitors for such in-flight features as the Airshow moving-map package. Installed throughout both airplanes are in-seat power outlets for laptop or personal electronic device use or charging. Also available are cordless satellite phone handsets.
“We view the Q400 as an excellent platform for this application, and as global interest and awareness grows, we see expanded opportunities for modified Q400s,” said Field Aviation v-p of business development David Jensen.
