London-based RDT, a telemedicine products specialist, has introduced its new Tempus IC, a small, lightweight remote medical “assistant” that RDT claims will transmit information doctors need to identify up to 90 percent of conditions remotely.
Features include a daylight-readable touchscreen with video that takes the user step-by-step through every process, an “intelligent” battery management system to conserve power, a wireless headset and an integral camera. Functions include: glucometer; breath gas analysis and respiration; tympanic temperature; blood pressure and pulse oximetry; full diagnostic, 12-lead electro-cardiogram (ECG); real-time voice and data; and photo and real-time video capability.
The Tempus IC weighs 6.2 pounds and occupies a space 8 inches by 11 inches and 4 inches deep.
