EASA STCs Garmin ESP, Datalink for King Air 200w with G1000

Garmin received STC approval from EASA yesterday to install the company’s Electronic Stability and Protection (ESP) and GSR 56 Iridium datalink in G1000-equipped King Air 200/B200s. The ESP installation adds stability augmentation capabilities, nudging the controls back toward stable flight whenever pitch, roll or high-speed deviations exceed the recommended limits. Meanwhile, the GSR 56 option allows for onboard graphical weather throughout the world, as well as voice and data services.
