GE Aviation and Iberia Ink CF34-8 Overhaul Deal

GE Aviation and Iberia Maintenance have signed an agreement that will provide Iberia with OEM technical support for its maintenance and repair services on CF34-8C/E engines. The agreement expands Iberia’s current overhaul capability for the CF34 engine and licenses GE’s engine maintenance technology. Iberia is also working with GE to develop a high-pressure compressor blade repair shop for the CFM56-5 and -7 series. The airline is in the final stages of GE certification.
