Lufthansa Technik Now Sole Owner of AirLiance Materials

Lufthansa Technik is now the sole owner of used aircraft spare parts supplier AirLiance Materials. The acquisition was completed when Lufthansa Technik acquired the shares previously held by minority owners United Airlines and Air Canada. “Since its beginnings nearly 14 years ago, [AirLiance Materials] has reliably achieved its revenue and results targets and demonstrated its value as a supplier able to offer airlines and aircraft operators significant cost advantages,” Wilken Bormann, head of Controlling and Subsidiaries at Lufthansa Technik, said of the Rochelle, Ill.-based company.
