Jet Engineering Opens New Paint Facility

Jet Engineering Technical Support (Jets), a Challenger, Hawker and Dornier MRO center in Bournemouth, England, has expanded its facility with the recent opening of a dedicated paint bay.

The paint shop, in a newly acquired hangar at Bournemouth Airport, will accommodate aircraft as large as a Gulfstream G650, and Jets has already contracted to provide executive interior completion work and exterior paint on seven Dornier 328 executive conversions over the next 12 months.

According to Jets CEO Derek Rankin, “We can remove flying controls during the scheduled maintenance, then prepare and paint them so they are ready to be refitted as soon as the aircraft comes out of the paint shop.”
