Content Body

The airport authority at Tupelo (Mississippi) Regional Airport has voted to transfer management of the airport-owned FBO to local business AMS of Tupelo. AMS, which provides light turbine maintenance on the field, has had previous experience in FBO management with Smyrna Jet Center. According to airport executive director Josh Abramson, AMS is expected to begin operating the 12,400-sq-ft facility in June once the lease is finalized. The agreement will contain the possibility of the FBO’s sale at the end of the five-year lease. The airport expects to complete lengthening the runway to 7,150 feet from 6,500 feet by the end of the summer.
