FAA Proposes 737 Landing Gear Airworthiness Directive
Subject Area
Content Body

The FAA is proposing a new Airworthiness Directive for the Boeing 737-600, -700, -700C, -800, -900 and -900ER. It is prompted by a report of an inboard main landing gear (MLG) door assembly departure due to premature fatigue cracking in the inboard MLG door hinge fittings. The AD would require repetitive inspections for cracking of the inboard MLG door hinge fittings and modification of cracked fittings, which would terminate the repetitive inspections. The FAA is taking comments from the public until August 2.
