Groups Lead Effort for Smithsonian Recognition of Charlie Taylor

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association is teaming with the Aircraft Maintenance Technicians Association (AMTA) to honor the first aviation technician, Charles E. “Charlie” Taylor, with an inscription on the Wall of Honor at the Smithsonian’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles Airport in Virginia. They are asking for donations to raise $10,000 by July 31, when AMTA will purchase the largest size lettering that the raised funds will provide. So far, the AMTA has raised $1,995.
