Tactair Offers New Landing Gear Electro-Mechanical Uplock

Tactair Fluid Controls has launched a new technology program that gives OEMs the option of installing electro-mechanical, optionally actuated landing gear and door uplocks. The focus of the program is to offer a choice between an electro-mechanical release and the traditional mechanically actuated release. Tactair says the new electro-mechanical alternative uplock release offers increased flexibility and opportunities for significant weight savings. A spokesman for the company said the addition of the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical uplock releases is part of a plan to enter the business and regional aircraft market.
