FAA Acting Administrator Huerta To Speak at NBAA Opener

FAA Acting Administrator Michael Huerta will be a featured speaker during the opening general session at the 65th NBAA Convention, which will be held from October 30 to November 1 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. “NBAA is honored to include Michael Huerta during the kickoff event to this year’s convention,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “His insights on a variety of issues of importance to the business aviation community will be of great interest to all attendees.”

The NBAA 2012 opening session, which will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, will also include several other speakers, including Forbes magazine publisher Rich Karlgaard and Bill Crutchfield, CEO of Crutchfield Corp. Additionally, the NBAA Al Ueltschi Humanitarian Award will be presented during the session to FedEx and its chairman, president and CEO, Fred Smith, on behalf of their work with Orbis International, a nonprofit global development organization dedicated to saving sight worldwide.

According to NBAA, about 25,000 business aviation professionals are expected to attend the convention this year.
