CTT Racking Up ‘Cair’ Package Orders
Subject Area
Content Body

CTT Systems is piling up contracts for its Cair cabin humidification system.

In early August the Nykoping, Sweden-based company announced an order for a Cair package from Lufthansa Technik. The system is being installed in a 747-8 undergoing outfitting at the German completion center’s Hamburg facilities.

Two weeks later, CTT Systems announced an order from Sabena Technics of Paris to provide a Cair package for installation in an Airbus ACJ318 being outfitted for a Middle East operator. According to CTT v-p of sales and marketing Peter Landquist, it is the first order for the system to be installed in an ACJ318.

On August 31 CTT announced a third Cair system to be installed in a Boeing BBJ2, another aircraft being outfitted by Lufthansa Technik.

The Cair system gives passengers a relative humidity of about 20 percent, reducing the fatigue, dry skin and red eyes commonly associated with typical cabin humidity levels of about 3 to 5 percent. The dual-purpose Cair system not only increases humidity, but also incorporates Zonal Drying to counter condensation.
