R2 Aerospace Formed To Pursue OEM and MRO Opportunities
Subject Area
Content Body

R2 Aerospace, a new company established by Rick Richardson, the former Yankee Pacific Aerospace (YPA) vice president of business development and founding shareholder, will pursue new opportunities in aircraft industry manufacturing and the maintenance, repair and overhaul sector in Tulsa, Okla. Richardson has extensive experience across all aspects of large aircraft interior completions.

The company is looking at supporting MROs and aerospace manufacturing companies in the area that supply parts to Boeing and Spirit “with an eye toward appropriate business acquisitions,” Richardson, R2’s president, told AIN. “We can provide consulting for engineering design and certification for completion centers and OEMs; however, we’re open to all possibilities.”

Ken Goldsmith, Yankee Pacific Aerospace managing director, said, “Rick made a major contribution to the growth of Yankee Pacific Aerospace during his tenure with the company. We look forward to continuing our consulting relationship and wish him equal success as he pursues his new venture.” Richardson and Goldsmith teamed in 2002 at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg, Germany, to form Lufthansa Technik Completion Engineering in Tulsa.
