Lagos-based Evergreen Apple Nigeria (EAN) has received approved maintenance organization (AMO) certification from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. The MRO has the equipment in place to maintain Saft batteries and aircraft wheels across a range of aircraft including the Dornier 328 and Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global Express.
Segun Demuren, CEO and founder of EAN, told AIN, “It is important for any maintenance facility in Nigeria to have Nigerian AMO approval, and this is what EAN has achieved. We started with a limited approval for wheels and batteries and will expand our capabilities as time goes on. With this approval, we can offer maintenance to Nigerian-registered aircraft as well as any other aircraft that requires tire and battery work.”
EAN is also working on extending its capabilities to perform maintenance on rotary-wing aircraft beginning with the Bell 430 and Bell 427, along with general aviation types such as de Havilland Canada Twin Otter floatplanes.
