Iacobucci Wins Seating Contract

Iacobucci HF Group has been selected to design and manufacture all seats and galley inserts for a new Boeing Business Jet to be completed by Comlux America in Indianapolis.

The Italian cabin components supplier, better known for galley products from coffee makers to ovens, is a relative newcomer to the business jet seating market. Nevertheless, said CEO Lucio Iacobucci, “We invest in research and development every year to maintain our product offering at the top end of the market.”

The interior configuration includes single and double-pod seats with electro-mechanical actuation. Seating in the aft end of the airplane will feature mechanical actuation, 360-degree swivel and a full-flat position for sleeping. The galley will include what Iacobucci claims is the only induction technology oven available on the aviation market, as well as Iacobucci’s iconic coffee makers for everything from espresso to cappuccino.

The aircraft is expected to arrive at Comlux in the second quarter.
