Massachusetts Announces Plans for State GA Airports

General aviation airports in Massachusetts are slated to receive $125 million in maintenance and safety improvements under the state DOT’s new 10-year plan to improve its transportation infrastructure. While specific details are not yet available, the DOT points out it is currently “fostering the development of our general aviation airport network,” including the groundbreaking for a new Gulfstream maintenance hangar at Westfield-Barnes Airport, the approval of additional FBOs at Hanscom and Worcester Airports and the implementation of a statewide runway safety marking project.
