Jet Aviation Singapore has broken ground on a new maintenance hangar alongside its current maintenance and FBO operation in Seletar Aerospace Park. The existing hangar will be integrated into the new 80,700-sq-ft hangar, tripling its current size. Set to be operational early next year, the hangar incorporates a 27,000-sq-ft, two-story complex of offices and shops, including new battery, tire, upholstery and woodworking back shops and two paint spray booths. It features an approximately 80-foot-high arched roof to accommodate Boeing and Airbus business jets.
With direct access to the tarmac, the hangar’s apron will also be expanded to 100,000 sq ft to allow easy maneuvering of large aircraft.
“Our additional hangar space will accept up to five G650s or five Global Express 7000s and clearly improves our ability to accommodate large, long-range business jets, which are the preferred aircraft in the region,” said Gary Dolski, v-p and general manager.
