Satcom Direct Takes New Products on the Road

Satcom Direct of Satellite Beach, Fla., will be touring the U.S. during June and July to promote new products and features, including updates on new mobile applications, maintenance training and troubleshooting.

Free training for Satcom Direct users includes hands-on work in the Satcom Direct mobile lab, a 40-foot Monaco Diplomat Coach, and features services from satellite providers Inmarsat, ViaSat Yonder and Iridium.

“This is our first road show and we’re doing it to bring our new router to the public. It automatically switches among satellite networks, seamlessly interfacing so the user has uninterrupted service,” Curt Gray, v-p of Satcom technologies, told AIN. In addition to the new SD Router will be Inmarsat SB200, ViaSat Yonder and Iridium voice solutions. The Satcom Direct products and services include Aero X, SkyTicket, SkyShield, AeroV, SD Flight Tracker and FlightDeck 360.

Planned stops include St. Louis; East Alton, Chicago and Waukegan, Ill.; Wichita; Dallas; Lincoln, Neb.; Teterboro, N.J.; Londonderry, N.H.; Battle Creek, Mich.; and Minneapolis. Reservations are not required.
