FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Cessna 750 Pitot Static Heaters
Subject Area
Channel
Content Body
The FAA is adopting an airworthiness directive (AD) for the Cessna 750 Citation X prompted by reports of loss of displayed airspeed. It requires an inspection to determine if cabin altitude/pitot static heater module assemblies are installed, replacing them with a new assembly; and revising the Non-Normal Procedures Section of the airplane flight manual to include procedures for resetting the pitot switch in the event of pitot heater failure and for total loss of airspeed indication. It is the intent of the AD to prevent the loss of all displayed airspeed.
