Constant Aviation Marks 15th Year as Embraer Partner

Constant Aviation recently completed its 18th Embraer Legacy 72-month inspection, the latest effort in its 15-year relationship with the Brazilian manufacturer.

“Throughout the last 15 years we have built industry-leading experience on that platform and continue to capture the majority of the scheduled-maintenance market share,” Stephen Maiden, president of Constant Aviation, told AIN.

The MRO’s relationship with Embraer dates back to 1998 when it was supporting regional carriers with the then-new EMB-135/145s. In 2001 the Cleveland facility was named an EMB-135 authorized service center and in 2002 a Legacy 600 authorized service center.

To date the company has completed thirty-five 48-month inspections and eight 96-month inspections, Maiden said. In addition, it has completed four nose and three wing replacements on EMB-135/Legacy 600 airframes; the majority were completed in the field either at the customer’s facility or in remote locations.

According to Maiden, Constant Aviation was the first authorized service center to complete a 48-month and 96-month inspection on the Legacy 600, and in 2009 it performed the first non-production 41,000-foot modification on the 600.
