GE Aviation named Comlux an authorized service center for GE’s CF34-3 engines, which power the large-cabin Bombardier Challengers. Under the terms of the agreement, Comlux can perform line maintenance inspections and routine installed engine maintenance, including removal and replacement of engines and engine components.
This authorization also allows Comlux to provide OnPoint solution and GE’s new engine warranty support.
With the addition of Comlux there are now 23 GE CF34-3 authorized service centers worldwide, 18 of them in the U.S.
“In the business jet segment, not counting the early models of the CRJ, the CF34-3 is used exclusively on the Bombardier Challenger and there are approximately 1,900 CF34-3 engines in service on that platform,” Jennifer Ratica, marketing manager for GE’s Business & General Aviation Services, told AIN.
Comlux has been a Bombardier approved facility since 2008.
