Timken (Stand 2017) is a global company providing a wide range of products, from precision bearings to engine overhaul, but at LABACE the U.S. firm is focused on supporting operators in the Brazilian marketplace. The company produces complex parts such as turbine blades, compressor wheels, combustors and bearings that are the cost-drivers behind engine overhauls.
The group’s unit in Mesa, Arizona, has more than 2,000 approvals for PMA replacement parts that support Rolls-Royce 250, Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, and Lycoming T53 and Allison T56 engines, as well as drivetrain components for Bell helicopters. It also offers overhaul/repair for the PT6A and PT6A/T, and the T53.
The second Timken unit supporting aerospace in Brazil is located in Los Alamitos, California, where it inspects and repairs more than 30,000 bearings each year. The company specializes in products and services that extend the total life cycle of aerospace equipment, including technology development, engineering, manufacture, maintenance and repair for aircraft and helicopter fleets.
