Desert Jet Maintenance Gets Part 145 Repair Station OK

Desert Jet Maintenance has earned FAA Part 145 approval as a Cessna Citation certified repair station. Based at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal, Calif., Desert Jet Maintenance offers airframe and engine repair, modifications, inspections and maintenance for all 500- and 600-series Citations. It also provides pre-buy inspections and maintenance management services.

The company was founded in 2007 as an aircraft charter operation. President Denise Wilson told AIN, “Over the years we’ve had issues getting quality maintenance in the Palm Springs area, so about 18 months ago we made the decision to develop our own maintenance facility.” The company began working on its own fleet last January, performing heavy inspections and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, then decided to pursue FAA Part 145 approval. “With this certification we want to reach out to all the Citation owners in the desert southwest of California, Nevada and Arizona,” she said.
