Research Study on Safety Training Needs 1,000 Pilots

Dr. Suzanne Kearns, Ph.D., of the University of Western Ontario, is seeking at least 1,000 pilots to participate in a research study to evaluate the effectiveness of safety training using a computer or tablet device and short, five- to-seven-minute “snap-courses.”

The training program requires about 3.5 hours to complete 36 snap-courses spread over two weeks or four months, depending on one’s assigned test group.

Eligible participants must be fluent in English, hold at minimum a student pilot certificate, have Internet access and apply before the November 30 deadline.
