Amac recently completed its second BBJ 777-300ER for a private customer in the Middle East. The work consisted of a full maintenance C-check and interior modifications such as a newly integrated master bedroom, master en suite and majlis (private seating area).
Technical highlights achieved in the completion project include the first installation of the Honeywell Ovation cabin management system (CMS), mood lighting in dome ceilings, Panasonic KU-band global communication suite installed with ExPhone as well as other high-end communication equipment and in-flight entertainment options.
Amac also completed an Airbus A340 that initially arrived for a C8 maintenance check. The work scope was expanded to include a partial interior refurbishment consisting of woodwork restoration, new flooring and changed seat configurations.
Amac formally inaugurated its third maintenance and completion hangar for widebodies at its EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg headquarters in September last year. The new 90,420-sq-ft hangar and production facility provided space to do widebody maintenance, freeing the existing hangarage to focus on completions.
