Heads Up Launches Studio Digital Media Library

Heads Up Technologies announced an agreement with digital media content management provider Red Touch Media that allows Heads Up customers to access its media library through the new Heads Up Lumin fiber-optic cabin management (CMS) system and wireless media server.

“Implementing this solution will make movies, music and other content more readily available in flight,” said Heads Up president and CEO Robert Harshaw. “Our customers are used to selecting and streaming exceptional content to their personal smartphone and tablets at home. Now they have that capability in their aircraft.”

The Lumin “end-to-end” fiber-optic, high-definition CMS was unveiled at the NBAA Convention in October. The Carrollton, Texas cabin electronics specialist describes the system as both “scalable across an OEM’s entire product line [and] sufficiently flexible to give OEMs a solution uniquely their own.”
