Porvair Filtration Opens U.S. Plant

Porvair Filtration Group’s Ashland, Va. facility is manufacturing last-chance filters for the aerospace industry. Last-chance filters and screens in aircraft fluid systems provide critical point-of-use protection for contamination-sensitive components, performing a complementary role to main system filters. Last-chance filters are designed to remove and retain contamination such as machining chips, burrs, wear debris and fluid breakdown products introduced during operation or downstream of the main system filters. To provide maximum protection, filters are tailored specifically to the system’s operating and environmental conditions.
