Vision Systems North America Opens in Florida

Aircraft window shade company Vision Systems North America opened its new facility in Melbourne, Fla., last week and is ramping up production there for its launch customer, Honda Aircraft. Vision Systems will produce Nuance electronically dimmable windows for the HA-420 HondaJet. With the push of a button, Nuance dims instantly from clear to dark, reducing light, glare and heat entering the aircraft. In the near future, the company’s Melbourne facility will also manufacture motorized shades for Gulfstream’s and Dassault’s new aircraft programs, Vision Systems said.
