Embraer’s Light Jets Reach Phenom-enal Milestones

The Embraer Phenom 300 handed over to NetJets on Friday at Embraer Executive Jets’ Melbourne, Fla. facility marked three major milestones for the light jet program. It not only was the 25th Phenom 300 delivered to the fractional aircraft provider, but also the 200th Phenom 300 and the 75th U.S.-assembled Phenom.

“We are absolutely delighted with this delivery to NetJets, just over a year after the first Phenom 300 joined its fleet,” said Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Marco Túlio Pellegrini. “The Phenom 300 was the most delivered business aircraft in 2013, and we are thrilled with its success among NetJets’ customers.”

Chuck Suma, NetJets’ senior vice president of global asset management, global procurement and global process improvement, took the keys to the milestone Phenom 300, which is registered as CS-PA and will be the third Embraer light jet that NetJets puts into service in Europe. “The Signature Series Phenom 300 is our best-selling aircraft right now and a core part of our fleet,” he said. “It is selling so well that we have asked Embraer to accelerate the delivery schedule, which will add four additional jets this year. By year-end, we will have 35 Phenom 300s in our fleet.”

NetJets placed a firm order for 50 Phenom 300s, with options for 75 more, in October 2010. If all options are exercised, the total value of the deal will exceed $1 billion.
