Group Endorses Argus-Certified Charter Broker Program

The London-based Baltic Air Carrier Association (BACA), which claims to be “the largest and longest standing [since 1949] organization focused on the air charter brokerage industry in the world,” has endorsed Argus’ Certified Charter Broker Program. “The air charter brokerage business is largely unregulated,” so users have to do their own due diligence, BACA noted.

“When Argus approached us to ask if they could use the BACA Code of Practice as the annual pledge of commitment by their participating charter brokers…we felt confident that our priorities were aligned with Argus relative to the underlying principles of their program,” said BACA deputy chairman Volker Meissner. Tony Coe, BACA chairman, added: “Being very familiar with Argus and their charter operator rating and TripCHEQ Program, we quickly became impressed with their attention to inappropriate and applicable details and desire to seek our guidance relative to making their standard applicable around the globe.”

The Argus program has two levels of recognition: Argus Registered and Argus Certified. The latter involves a program where organizations are audited every two years and also must provide documentary proof of meeting requirements every year. In addition, Argus Certified companies pledge their commitment to adhere to industry best practices and all applicable regulations.
