Harbert Private Equity Fund III Acquires Flight Display Systems

Harbert Private Equity Fund III, a $4 billion private equity fund, acquired Alpharetta, Ga.-based aircraft cabin electronics manufacturer Flight Display Systems this week. In conjunction with this move, Reed Macdonald has been appointed CEO of the company, which provides cabin management systems and aircraft displays for business aircraft and airliners. “This investment will extend the legacy of innovation and strengthen our position as a customer-centric provider of premium aircraft electronics,” Flight Display Systems said. “The acquisition will fuel continued growth, expand engineering and production capabilities, and further enhance partner relationships.”
