Greenpoint Completes First Private 747-8

Kirkland, Wash.-based Boeing Business Jets completions center Greenpoint handed over its first Boeing 747-8 outfitted with a VIP interior late last month. The delivery, to an undisclosed client, capped off a year in which Greenpoint also inducted its first 787 and signed a contract to complete a second 787. “This delivery represents an outstanding year for Greenpoint,” said chairman Jon Buccola, noting that the company also was acquired last year by Zodiac Aerospace. Zodiac—which provides equipment and systems for commercial, regional and business aircraft—said it bought Greenpoint to expand its cabin interiors business.
