FL Technics Offers Powerplant, Landing Gear Consulting

FL Technics is launching a consulting service that will cover AOG issue resolution, including advice on proper troubleshooting practices; engines; APUs; landing gear on-wing and off-wing workscoping; shop visit workscope review; and full engine asset management to meet what it predicts will be growing demand for shop visits and maintenance for the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and Bombardier CRJ200 in the 2015 to 2018 time frame.

“As the value of a spare engine asset may range anywhere between $500,000 and $6 million, proper delivery/re-delivery process management and performance tracking during operations are especially sensitive processes. This is exactly why during long- and short-term lease it is critical to have prompt solutions in case of an AOG, bird strike, powerplant failure, in-flight shutdown or any insurance related discrepancies. Optimal workscope preparation, material management and cost control, as well as maintenance reserves compensation and final invoice reviews before, during and after a shop visit may potentially cut the expenses by up to 50 percent. By launching a new range of consulting services, we aim to provide expert advice on how to ensure reasonable technical condition and residual value of our clients’ highly valuable assets,” said Deividas Jurkstas, the head of the engines and components management department at FL Technics.
