Inflight connectivity provider Satcom Direct announced that its FlightDeck Freedom datalink service can now enable Future Air Navigation System (FANS) testing. This testing can troubleshoot or validate FANS capability in the aircraft from any location, utilizing the company's partnerships with Inmarsat, Iridium and ViaSat Yonder. Access to the FANS testing facility is a no-cost option of the FlightDeck Freedom subscription.

The simulated test facility is available to Satcom Direct subscribers 24/7, 365 days a year. The company is a multinational provider of satellite voice/broadband data solutions for flight deck/cabin communications serving business, military, government and head-of-state aircraft.
