VIH Aerospace Gains EASA Approval for Airbus and Bell Helo Bubble Windows

British Columbia helicopter maintenance services company VIH Aerospace (Booth 3837) announced at Heli-Expo that it received European EASA approval for its Bell 407 and Airbus EC135 crew bubble window aftermarket modifications. The aftermarket retrofits are designed for simple installation with no need to modify the door. Both kits consist of an acrylic plastic clear bubble window, retainers and all necessary attachment hardware, as well as support documentation.

The STC’d windows provide pilots with greatly improved downward and upward visibility on the right side of the aircraft, which is critical for complicated lift operations. In addition, the Airbus EC135 bubble window does not restrict helicopter airspeed.
