Honeywell Aerospace’s (Booth H529) SwiftBroadband satcom voice/data cabin connectivity upgrade is now available through Xiamen-based HAECO Private Jet Solutions (Booth P310). By upgrading the old version of satcom connectivity to the SwiftBroadband service, the bandwidth per channel will improve by more than five times the original speed, according to the manufacturer. SwiftBroadband connection also is in an “always on” state, resulting in higher availability. “We are delighted to complete the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) using Honeywell satcom equipment, which will benefit all users of the Boeing Business Jet,” said HAECO commercial vice president Henry Chan. “HAECO Private Jet Solutions is now able to offer the solution quickly and cost effectively.”
Unlike air-to-ground connectivity systems, the satellite-based system also works on the ground and below 10,000 feet to provide users with seamless voice and data transmissions, said Honeywell.
