Freeman Holdings Group last night hosted a grand opening event for the latest addition to the Million Air FBO chain at Stennis International Airport in Mississippi. The new facility, which cost more than $7 million to build, includes a 7,500-sq-ft FBO building; 25,000 sq ft of hangar accommodation; and more than 500,000 sq ft of ramp space.
The building includes two visitor lounges, a flight-planning room, a pair of pilot snooze rooms, a multi-media conference suite and a fully equipped theater. On the second floor, the new Jet-a-way Café overlooks the airport and ramp area.
Located just north of the I-10 freeway, Million Air Stennis offers quick and easy access to cities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is less than an hour’s drive from New Orleans. The runway at Stennis is 8,497 feet long.
“It’s a wonderful airport in a great location with excellent runways, taxiways and ramp space,” said Freeman Holdings CEO Scott Freeman. “The only thing it was missing was a first class FBO facility. It now has that in a very big way.”
