Hong Kong-based aviation service provider Metrojet (Booth H521) is highlighting its new collaboration with Tai Ping Carpets International Ltd. and showcasing some of the carpets at its display this week at ABACE 2015.
Under the agreement, Metrojet’s Aircraft Appearance professionals will work together with Tai Ping Carpets’ artisans and craftsmen to tailor personalized carpets, and oversee every step of their creation and installation, from material selection and design to refurbishment. The two companies are both members of the Kadoorie Group.
“A high-quality customized carpet embellishes the overall décor of a new jet and refreshes the look and feel of the cabin of pre-owned business jets,” said Björn Näf, Metrojet CEO. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with world-acclaimed Tai Ping Carpets to offer the finest carpeting options to our sophisticated customers as part of our bespoke in-flight décor offering.”
Naf noted that data from Asian Sky Group found more than 40 percent of the business jet additions to China’s fleet in 2013 were pre-owned, and buyers of such aircraft are prime candidates for interior improvements such as carpet enhancement.
