Swiss aircraft interior design house Yasava Solutions recently launched the Aïana Wave aircraft seat for long-endurance flights. Since unveiling the ergonomic, lie-flat aircraft seat two weeks ago at EBACE, the company has secured six letters of intent (LOIs) from Boeing BBJ and Airbus ACJ clients. The LOIs, backed with refundable deposits, will be converted to orders when the seat has earned EASA and FAA certification.
The seat features precision mechanics, using gravity as a source of energy, negating the need for electrical actuation systems. It also employs “advanced” ergonomics partially based on aeromedical research for long-endurance travel.
Yasava’s Aïana Wave is also the standard seat in the company’s Astral Design cabin concept for ultra-long-range business jets.
