Innovative Solutions Debuts Compact, Lightweight ADAHRS

Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S; Booth C13312) is debuting a compact and lightweight ADAHRS here. Coupled with the IS&S Beta-3 GPS receiver, the unit can provide INS-grade performance to 25 foot 3-D positional accuracy. Designed for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, the ADAHRS outputs in digital and analog to interface with existing autopilot and display systems at a fraction of the cost of comparable AHRS alone.

The unit incorporates an integral Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which includes accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer triads. The IMU is adaptable to include an integral air data module to measure static and total pressure for independent display of altitude, airspeed and Mach number, and utilizes a proprietary algorithm to compensate for soft iron effects on the internal magnetometer.
