TAG Aviation Europe named company veteran Daniel Christe CEO, effective immediately. Christe succeeds Christof Späth, who stepped down due to personal circumstances after holding the position for a year.
Christe became CFO of TAG Aviation Holding in 1999 after serving as CFO of TAG Heuer. TAG said he has since served in a number of different capacities within TAG Aviation Holding and its subsidiaries. “During Mr. Christe’s tenure with TAG Aviation he has demonstrated a sound understanding of the aviation business and earned the respect of his fellow colleagues and TAG shareholders alike based on his knowledge, work ethic and professionalism,” said TAG Aviation Europe chairman Roger McMullin.
Celebrating its 50th year of operation, Geneva, Switzerland-based TAG Aviation is a global aviation services company that includes TAG Aviation Europe, TAG Aviation Asia in Hong Kong and TAG Aviation Middle East in Bahrain. The company provides management, charter, maintenance and FBO/handling and has as collective fleet of more than 120 aircraft. TAG Aviation Europe, which has bases in Switzerland, the UK and Spain, operates 80 of those aircraft, along with maintenance centers and FBOs in Geneva and Farnborough.
