At the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday Malaysian company TPG Aeronautik ordered two AW189 super medium helicopters from Italy’s Finmeccanica. The aircraft will be delivered in 2017 and will be operated for Malaysia’s fire and rescue agency JBPM, which already uses a pair of AW139s.


The newly organized Finmeccanica Helicopter Division’s presence in Malaysia was recently further boosted with the delivery of two AW139s to local operator Galaxy Aviation.
