Aspen Avionics has partnered with Flightcell International to offer airborne Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity across broadband cellular and narrowband satellite networks for both rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft. Flightcell will couple a proprietary version of Aspen’s CG-100 Connected Gateway System with itsDZMx communication system. The Flightcell DZMx provides broadband data and voice services through GSM, 3G and 4G networks. Outside of cellular coverage areas, DZMx provides narrowband capability through the Iridium satellite network.
