Geneva International Airport will remain home to the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) for at least five more years under a new agreement signed last week by NBAA, EBAA, Palexpo and airport officials. The agreement calls for EBACE to remain at Palexpo through 2021. The convention center is located directly on the airport and has been home to the event since it started in 2001.
The venue has provided several key benefits, including the ability to have the static display on site, as well as its proximity to a railway station and a motorway. The facilities also are 10 minutes from the center of Geneva, which has good hotel availability for the roughly 13,000 aviation professionals who attend the annual event.
“Since its launch, EBACE has shown a steady increase in the number of exhibitors and delegates who have joined the event, and we expect that trend to continue in the coming years,” said EBAA CEO Fabio Gamba. “We are confident that Palexpo offers the kinds of facilities that will continue to make this event a success, given its strategic location.”
“Palexpo has provided this important event a great venue for the past decade and a half,” added NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “This new five-year agreement will provide more planning certainty going forward for exhibitors, attendees and organizers alike.”
This year’s event is scheduled for May 24 to 26 and expected to draw more than 500 exhibitors and a static display of nearly 60 business aircraft.
